With most American students returning to the classrooms this fall, school disinfection and cleaning are on the minds of education administrators across the country. This year, high-touch surfaces, such as cafeteria tables, toilets, chairs, desks, door handles, floors, sinks, and equipment, will require frequent cleaning and disinfecting. To stay ahead of the curve this semester, learn about what the 5-Step Imperial Shield Protection Program could do to make your school buildings safer.
## What is the Imperial Shield Protection Program?
[Our 5-step Imperial Shield Protection Program](https://imperialcleaning.com/imperial-shield/) pairs our existing cleaning and disinfection protocols with an effective antimicrobial, PRO-Techs, for an active 90-day germ shield. It uses PRO-Techs technology that works automatically and is 99.9 percent effective. Imperial Shield’s non-toxic, colorless, durable, and non-leaching solution is environmentally safe.
### Electrostatic Disinfecting
The electrostatic spray method applies a small electric charge to liquid droplets as they pass through a sprayer. The charged droplets are then attracted to surrounding surfaces, which helps provide uniform coverage.
[Electrostatic spray disinfecting](https://imperialcleaning.com/electrostatic-spray-disinfecting-and-sanitizing/) has a wrapping effect, which helps its liquid droplets reach areas that are hidden from sight. E-spray more easily disinfects those hard-to-reach areas with its evenly coated mist, like the underside of a chair.
### Antimicrobial Solution
[PRO-Techs](https://protechsusa.com/) is an EPA registered antimicrobial agent. Within seconds, PRO-Techs chemical structures begin creating ultra-strong bonds with any surface. We allow the coating to sit on the desired surface for maximum effectiveness. The antimicrobial agent starts to work immediately to protect against harmful bacteria, mold, viruses, and other deadly pathogens. High-touch surfaces are guarded 24/7 and for up to 90 days from offending microbes.
##
## Why Imperial Shield is the Answer in School Disinfection
The Imperial Shield Program effectively atomizes disinfecting and [antimicrobial solutions](https://imperialcleaning.com/antimicrobial-spraying-services/) to reach nooks and crannies that traditional disinfection techniques may miss. Especially when school buildings have many children gathering daily, disinfection and cleaning are critical. The frequent touching of objects, like doorknobs, pencil sharpeners, and board markers may cause germs to spread in schools without school disinfection services.
### Effective with Only 4 Applications a Year
We know that disinfecting every day can be expensive and time-consuming; that's why we invented the Imperial Shield. Just four applications per year can destroy and dissolve bacteria 24/7. There is no need to disinfect all surfaces daily when you have the protection of the Imperial Shield.
### Rapid and Efficient Disinfecting Protection
Before or after school, our school disinfection technicians can spray entire classrooms, hallways, and offices. This method is rapid and highly efficient at dissolving most microorganisms.
An electrostatic sprayer can disinfect a larger area in a shorter time since it reduces disinfection time by up to 50 percent. The concept is instrumental in schools, where children spend so much time touching things and occupying larger open spaces. A wide range of locations, including classrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, science labs, and computer labs, can be safely sprayed with the Imperial Shield.
### Safe for Students and Staff
Further, there are no toxic chemicals or fumes created in the Imperial Shield process. Our electrostatic applicator sprays up to 65 percent fewer chemicals per square foot than traditional cleaning and disinfection methods.
##
## Choose the Highest Level of Disinfecting Protection
Our 5-Step Imperial Shield Protection Program can make your school safer to reopen and operate. Imperial Cleaning has been in business for over 25 years and will certify to each participating school that the maximum protection program has been implemented. A Certificate of Disinfection can be displayed in your school and sent to parents by email to demonstrate that you have employed the highest level of cleaning and disinfection services provided by Imperial Cleaning.
