# Together We Make a Difference: Imperial Cleaning's Commitment to Friends of Karen
May 09, 2024 [Imperial Cleaning](https://blog.imperialcleaning.com/blog/author/imperial-cleaning) [2024](https://blog.imperialcleaning.com/blog/tag/2024)
At Imperial Cleaning, we believe in more than just providing exceptional cleaning services; we believe in making a profound impact on our community. This dedication extends beyond our business and into heartfelt support for charitable causes that touch lives and foster hope. Our longstanding partnership with [Friends of Karen](https://www.friendsofkaren.org/) is a shining example of our commitment. This remarkable organization assists families dealing with the unimaginable challenges of a child's life-threatening illness.
Friends of Karen is dedicated to providing emotional, financial, and advocacy support for children with life-threatening conditions and their families. Since its inception, the organization has been a symbol of hope, ensuring that no family faces these trials alone. Their support ranges from sibling support programs to financial assistance, covering everything from medical bills to daily living expenses.
Since 2012, Imperial Cleaning has been a proud sponsor and active participant in Friends of Karen's efforts. Our team members, including some of our board members, have consistently engaged in and contributed to the annual Friends of Karen 5K Walk and [other fundraising initiatives](https://imperialcleaning.com/community-involvement/). Over the years, our involvement has been about physically standing shoulder to shoulder with those affected, providing support, and raising awareness.
This year, our participation was especially memorable. On Friday, May 3rd, at the latest Friends of Karen 5K, our enthusiastic team participated and triumphed, bringing home the trophy. But more importantly, we raised $35,000 for the charity. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our relationship with Friends of Karen, bringing our total contributions over the years to more than $165,000.
The funds and awareness raised through these events play a crucial role in Friends of Karen's mission. Every dollar contributed helps alleviate the burden on families, enabling them to focus on what's most important — caring for their child. Our contributions help fund essential programs and services these families depend on during their most challenging times.
We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Friends of Karen and are inspired by the strength and resilience of the families they support. We invite you to join us in this noble cause. Whether by participating in upcoming events, volunteering, or providing donations, your support can make a real difference in the lives of these children and their families.
At Imperial Cleaning, [our commitment to excellence](https://imperialcleaning.com/our-core-values/) in service is paralleled by our dedication to community involvement. We believe that our corporate responsibilities include supporting those in need and helping build a stronger, more compassionate community. Together, we can bring hope and support to those who need it most.
