# Expert Cleaning Blogs: Tips for Commercial and Residential Cleaning
# Why we use Green Household Cleaners in your Home
May 15, 2019 [Tom Hallissey](https://blog.imperialcleaning.com/blog/author/tom-hallissey) [Residential](https://blog.imperialcleaning.com/blog/tag/residential), [Green Cleaning](https://blog.imperialcleaning.com/blog/tag/green-cleaning)
At Imperial Cleaning Company, we are focused on minimizing our impact on the environment. The green household cleaners we use are certified to be safe for people, pets and the planet. We are constantly mindful of the products used in your home, because we care deeply about our clients. This commitment to the environment is evident in everything we do.
## 3 Reasons we use Green Household Cleaners
### 1) We Care about your Health and Safety
In the past, many types of household cleaning products included potentially harmful ingredients. After they are used, chemicals tend to linger in the air or sit on surfaces, jeopardizing the health and safety of homeowners.
Fortunately, there are other, better options today.
Imperial Cleaning Company regularly uses leading eco-friendly products during home cleaning, including:
- Green paper products
- Microfiber cloths
- Vacuum filtration technology
You will literally breathe easier after a visit from us. [Green cleaning services](https://blog.imperialcleaning.com/blog/choose-green-cleaning-services) improve, rather than jeopardize, your home’s indoor air quality. Our green household cleaners are also safe for use in households with [people who have allergies or asthma](https://blog.imperialcleaning.com/blog/healthy-home-cleaning).
### 2) We are Concerned about our Environment Impact
Imperial Cleaning Company understands we have a responsibility to the environment as well. We are committed to doing our part for the planet.
At every [residential cleaning](https://imperialcleaning.com/residential-cleaning-services/) appointment, our staff is careful to be mindful of their environmental impact. All our staff have received extensive training in the practice of green cleaning. We also regularly use eco-friendly cleaning products that do not hurt air quality or harm the water supply. In addition, we select cleaning products that have minimal packaging, further reducing our environmental impact.
### 3) Green Household Cleaners work as well as the Alternative
At Imperial, we believe green products shouldn’t sacrifice quality cleaning. We provide the same great service without using environmentally-unfriendly chemicals.
Our pleasant-smelling household cleaners are an effective alternative to harsher chemicals, like bleach and ammonia. The microfiber cloths we use are actually more effective than traditional methods, because they capture dust and dirt particles, rather than pushing them back into the air. As a result, you can feel good about doing your part to help the environment.
